The First Da Lang Sweater International Precision Procurement Festival Held

Today (18th), the first Dalang Sweater International Precision Purchasing Festival was launched at the Global Trade Plaza in Dalang Town, attracting more than 40 foreign buyers to the town to experience products, factory inspections and transactions. The event will last until November 20 and will be hosted by Dalang Town Bureau of Commerce and Investment Service Center. It will comprehensively enhance the global popularity and international competitiveness of Dalang sweaters, help Dalang sweater enterprises to open up the international market, and promote the high-quality development of Dalang sweater industry cluster.

 

The activity cooperates with Guangmao World, takes advantage of Guangmao World's 2.3 million global buyer resources, and takes "a new foreign trade model that organizes global buyers to purchase at the door of the foreign trade base" as the starting point to build a comprehensive cross-border electronic commerce service system to better sell Dalang wool products to all parts of the world. At the event site, Guangmao Tianxia signed a contract with Indian partners for the Indian National Pavilion, which will set up a 10000-square-meter national pavilion in India to create a 365-day procurement festival. At the same time, Guangmao Tianxia also signed a strategic cooperation agreement with SGS. The two parties will conduct further cooperation in the fields of certification, inspection, and testing to improve the Dalang wool import and export service chain.

 

Dalang sweater industry is the characteristic industry of Dalang and the industry of enriching people. After more than 40 years of development, the town has formed a large-scale sweater industry cluster, and has successively become "China's famous sweater town", "national foreign trade transformation and upgrading base", "China wool product procurement base" and "provincial export wool product quality demonstration area". In 2018, the total industrial output value of Dalang wool industry was 16.3 billion yuan, and the export of sweater products exceeded 11.6 billion yuan.

 

At present, there are more than 14000 wool weaving enterprises, 1 wool weaving international purchasing center, 4 wool weaving professional markets, 12 wool weaving professional streets, 50000 advanced computerized flat knitting machines and more than 100,000 sweater professionals, forming a 10 square kilometer international wool weaving trade city, covering research and development design, raw materials and accessories, computerized flat knitting machines, production and processing, environmental protection washing water, exhibition and sales logistics, personnel training, new retail and other one-stop industrial supporting facilities. The town produces more than 1.2 billion sweaters every year, 55% of which are exported to Europe, America, Japan, South Korea, Russia and other places. It has registered "Da Lang" and "Da Lang woolen" in more than 80 countries and regions. It has more than 20 famous brand products in Guangdong Province, and has the most powerful sweater production capacity in the world. Many world-class brand knitted garments have production and processing enterprises in Da Lang.
